DAY-7: It's just so free

i had enough sleep today,

woke up around 11am.

=)

Ela went to museum with her firend,

and becuase i'm tired and not really interested,

so i didnt join them..

It's a rainy day today!

after bathed,

i went to shop downstairs

to buy bread and yogurt,

my brunch.

whole afternoon was watching drama.

around 5pm,

Ela was home.

we had dinner together and now, 

i'm here sitting in front the netbook,

blogging.

it's bored today,

but at least i REST WELL.

it's too tiring for this week.

tomorrow is another new week!!

and SUPER JUNIOR 5th album "MR.SIMPLE" MV Teaser will be released!!

Can't wait for that!!!

Woo~~

tomorrow might going to Palace if there's no meeting or discussion.

DAY-6: DMZ~

early in the morning, 

woke up around 7.15am,

after everything is done.

we meet up Su Youn at the subway station.

we got down at the Seoul station and meet the other EPs from the other LCs.

[EP means exchange participants]

[LC means local committee]

i met a lot of EPs here..

They are from Taiwan, China, Czech Republic, Iran and Turkey.

I finally found someone to talk in Chinese!!

I finally found someone to talk in Cantonese!!!

I finally found someone to talk in Hakka!!!

GREAT!!!

[though we still mix it up with english ><" ]

the Taiwanese guy, Wayne is being told that he look like a korean as well..

maybe because of his eyes.

and due to the same situation like me, 

funny thing happened on us,

right after we discuss about that.

an ajumma come to us and ask the directions to XXX.

LOL~

[ajumma is aunt in Hangul]

we just ask her to wait and drag Min to explain to her.

Goodness!! 

I think we can just pretend to be korean!

No one thought that i'm Malaysian.

Wayne said i look like Taiwanese as well..

Fine~

I'm a Korean+Japanese+Taiwanese!!! =)

After everyone reached,

we're moving to DMZ!!!!! 

about 1 and a half hours, 

we reached Imjingak.

It's a place near Imjingang River, where we had our lunch.

It's really HOT outside!

It's different from Malaysia.

the humidity here is low,

it's just very DRY.

this is SUMMER~~~

After lunch, we took a "shaky" bus to reach DMZ.

we saw armies everywhere.

they look so serious!!

Ela is so into them,

she said they look handsome.

for me, i would say they're kinda cool! 

=)

We went to the 3rd tunnel.

It's a tunnel that north korea used to invade the south korea.

It's 1635m in length,

2m width, and 2m height.

this is the largest between tunnels that they discovered.

down there, it's cold.

someone knocked their head as well.

but not me,

we bent our head walking inside the tunnel.

i know i'm short! ><"

anyway, nothing's inside actually.

It's blocked half way,

we cant go north korea!

Ohh, there's spring water down there,

there's a saying goes: 

after drinking spring water, wont be sick for 3 years.

believe it or not, 

i just tasted it!

=)

we're not allowed to take picture down there,

so, sorry! i cant share with you guys.

i just took some picture at the museum.

After the 3rd tunnel, we went to Dora Observatory.

it's a place to see the north korea by using binocular.

no camera is allowed, 

can't show you how it looks like.

it's actually very near.

but i saw nothing except the river, forest and some industry-like building.

standing there looking at the north korea,

i do imagine the war that happens years ago.

what if it happens now???!

[imagine yourself!]

Dorasan Station is next.

a station where a train railway is placed.

that a railway that used to link south korea and north korea. 

and now been restored.

the oldest railway in korea to connect with the other railway in Asia and Europe.

the best part comes,

the Pyeonghwa Nuri Park.

the place that i took lots of picture.

we tried their traditional games.

there's lot of windmills on the hills!!

it's so nice!!!!!!

love it~

with the strong winds and bright sun,

it's just BEAUTIFUL!!

after photos, we just wait for bus to go back to Seoul.

the bad thing is we waited the bus for 45 mins!!

under the hot sun!!

this trip was a bit rush but it's okay.

i had fun too!

i'm back safely! ♥

DAY-5: I feel the "SUMMER"

Everything is great today!

As usual, 

woke up >> bathed >> breakfast

As i said in last post,

It's Friday,

and we have to go to the center for teaching.

today is just different,

it's the LAST DAY in this center.

we'll move to the other center, 

to teach the other teens or kids.

IT'S SUNNY DAY~!

totally happy with it!

it's much hotter than Malaysia,

and Angela told me it gonna be hotter..

Oh God!!! 

around 1pm,

we reached the center,

the teens greet us happily and nicely!

there're more teens today! =)

feeling good!!! 

after Ela's presentation, 

we had a game, it's call LIGHTING ACTIVITY

it's about using a pedometer to count how much you jump, 

and 60 steps equal to one yellow post-it,

stick the post-it on the black cardboard,

presenting a building with lights on.

[just to show them how precious energy is]

they did well

and they got really serious about it!

even quarreled.

^^

just after the game, it's my presentation.

Thanks God that they listened and understood!!

They are so cute! 

The boys thought that i'm Korean, 

they keep on talking to me in Hangul and ask me to translate.

while the girls thought that i'm Japanese..

[do i really look like one?]

even the OCs said that to me..

"Mummy, I'm a Malaysian, ain't i?"

By the way,

i think it's not bad to be a Korean or Japanese.

i have to learn both of this language!!

then can pretend to be Korean or Japanese...

=D

They do wrote comments to us,

"thank you for teaching us"

"sorry for being so loud"

"hope we'll meet again"

"kind"........

After the lessons, 

we just took pictures, gave out certs, had donuts...

before we leave,

we hug we shake hands!

I'll miss them for sure! 

wish to meet them again!

We had our so called lunch at the cafe nearby,

Taeyi spent us sandwiches and pap bing soo!!

is better than the previous one. 

Taeyi taught me Hangul as well!!

I think i really learn a lot this few days!

i suppose to get my Korea phone number today,

but because it's too late to register,

they just offline,

i think we walked and stand too much.

Anyway, tomorrow will be going to Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

It's the area between North Korea and South Korea..

Yipeee~~

Looking forward to that!! 

but i think it gonna take a long time to go from Seoul,

hopefully i can rest in the bus or subway.

DAY-4 : It's just normal! =)

i woke up a bit late today.

just because my phone is out of battery, 

and my alarm doesnt ring.

luckily,

Ela wake me up at 9am.

it's not our problem,

it's all the rain fault.

as usual, after taking breakfast,

we went to EWHA,

to do some discussion, prepare presentation slides for tomorrow.

yes, we're going to centre tomorrow.

for information,

every Mon, Wed and Fri,

we'll be going to teach the teens.

the next topic is gonna be

ENERGY!

i ate toast for lunch today.

it's HAM CHEESE TOAST.

how it taste like?

hmm..

it's a bit 'special'

as they add something taste like sweet mayonise..

around 4.30pm Ela and me went back home.

 we decided ro go for a walk after dinner. 

 she took a nap and i was online. about 7pm, 

we went to the shops near EWHA.

 Ela and me are gone crazy because of girl-like-stuffs! 

approximately, 

 we visit one shop for around 20 mins, there's around 50 shops, 

but of course we didnt visit every single shop. =) 

 we keep on controlling ourselves not to buy first. 

wait for the last few days.

i found out something to be souvenirs!!

DAY-3 : Bonus Day! =)

It's a bit lazy to wake up.

because it's raining.

yea~

non-stop since last night.

Ela, Hyunni and me went out around 10am

to "shopping"..

although it's RAINING HEAVILY!!!

3 of us are waiting the shuttle bus,

half of our body is wet!

just before the bus come, 

Ela decided not to go and wait us at the office.

her shoes is WET!!!

luckily i'm wearing sandal and Hyunni is wearing rain boots.

Guess what..

we walked for not even an hour..

but i do bought my toner and lotion

here comes the BONUS 1: 

She gave me LOTs of free gifts!!

it's more than we usually get ^^

just after that,

me, Ela and the other 3 friends going to center.

center is where we gather with those teens and teach them.

the topic we prepared for today: Endangered Animals

we prepared some slides with simple english..

we started with Mango game.

Mango game : speaking a word without seeing your teeth.

It's quite funny actually..

I'm so nervous when Ela introduces me to them.

and they were like 'OooOOoo'

^^ i speak a few words in Hangul and i saw smile on their faces.

after presentation, when i was looking for water,

a boy come with a cup of water,

he said: "seonsaengnim"

Goodness! 

you know what does this mean?

this is the way of calling teacher with respect!

touched, seriously~

It sounds old i know, but it just mean something to me~ 

you'll never know the feelings like i do!

i think we play along well..

before we go, they greet us nicely and they said 'bye' to me..

surprised feedback. 

i mean they usually said in hangul..

but they just try to speak english with us!!

they're amazing.. arent they?

around 4pm,

we went to a cafe before going back home..

there's the place i had my " Pap Bing Soo"

it's just nice to eat in Summer! =)

On the way home, in the subway,

we learn Hangul from Green.

[yea.. it's her english name ><]

She taught me a lot! ^^

Ela and me went to a mart nearby our house,

I bought snacks and biscuits,

Ela bought detergents and milk.

[we shared the detergents, she gonna pay 1st]

here comes the BONUS 2:

the cashier just ask me  to wait for a while,

and he gave me a tin of coffee.

After dinner, 

Ela and me take turns to use internet,

because one of the cable is not working,

but will be repaired soon.

thanks to Admund!! 

He taught me to download this and that,

we finally made cable into wifi.

finally i can call without charging.

DAY-2: It's just Started! =)

i just sleep for about 4/5 hours

and just wake up before the alarm rings.

maybe i'm still in excited mood! =)

waking up by 8am

having my first typical korean breakfast

rice, kimchi, eggs, potatoes, watermelon,...

it's just nice and it makes my day!

thanks to iimu (a way to call aunt in korean)

i tried to talk in Hangul with her, 

and you know what..

SHE UNDERSTAND!!!

she said i'm good in speaking Korean..

asking if i ever been here or my parents are Korean.

COOL!!!

i made it!!!

feel so happy!!!!!

around 10.35am,

Ela, Hyeonni and me walked to the student center

you don't know what is it?! let me tell you this awesome thing!

student center is where clubs and organisations gathered,

each clubs have their own office.

and it's with lift!

i know, my university don't have it!! ><

anyway, i just spend my whole afternoon there.

we discussed about the presentation we gonna do tomorrow, 

preparing slides and so..

Oh yea, 

i had my lunch there too..

it's "jia jiang mion"

it's DELICIOUS!! 

but still, like usual,

i can't finish it!!

seriouly, it's really big in size!!

i can barely finish 1/3 of it only..

Ela cant finish hers as well..

and for the coming lunch, we're thinking of sharing..

save money, save food, save the world!

i'm being introduced to most of the LC here..

They are nice!!

They're so impressed that i can talked in many languages.

Around 4pm, it's started to rain..

about 5pm, 3 of us walked under the rain with only two umbrella.

Ela forget to bring hers.

The time reached  home, it's dinner time!!

I'm eating well.

I think i just used lots of energy this afternoon.

We talked a lot with Hyeonni.

About K-pop, Korean Food and places around Korea.

I think we have the same interests!

=)

Actually, Ela and me plan to go shopping for a bit.

But the rain didnt stop. =(

will be going tomorrow i wish =)

i'm surrounded with Korean and i finally know how it feels like..

they speak so fast and i can only catch some words that i understand..

by the time i reached, i saw two girls holding a card with IVY on it..

i just feel so shy..

a guest house.

two of them are so nice! helping me taking my luggage. 

my luggage is SO HEAVY!!

we walked quite far from the railroad station. 

walking around the university, EWHA.

there university is really AWESOME!!!!

it's a very big compound,

with "mixtures" of historical old buildings and high-tech modern buildings.

About my living place,

i should say...

it's quite old and small.

with only table fan.

two people in a room. 

Oh, here i introduce my roommate.

She's Ella form Indonesia.

one year older than me.

She's nice as well.

I'll be spending most of my time together with her.

and we'll surely have lots of fun together.

It's now 2.26am in Korea, 

i think i better go to bed,

tomorrow will be a brand new day,

lots of stuff is waiting for me..
